Richard Moran Jr. joined Allied Wealth Partners in October 2019 previously being the president of MDZ Wealth Management, LLC. Rich’s position with MDZ Financial Group gave him valuable insight into the financial issues of those owning closely held businesses.
He concentrates much of his client work in the areas of business continuation, protection, compensation and wealth accumulation strategies.
He joined the financial services industry in 1991 after receiving an MBA from the College of William and Mary. Rich also received a BA from the University or Richmond in 1986 where he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Delta Leadership Society. Prior to returning to school for his master’s degree, he had worked in a managerial capacity for several closely held corporations.
Rich carries series 7, 24, and 65 FINRA registrations as well as a Connecticut Life and Health Insurance license. He also holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation.
Outside of the office, Rich has been involved in numerous community and charitable organizations including having served as a two term President of the Orange Chamber of Commerce.
Rich has officiated high school football in New Haven County, CT for over 30 years. Rich is also actively involved in the Arts as a vocalist and actor in Southern Connecticut theater and concert scene. He can be heard across Connecticut and parts of New York and Rhode Island hosting the weekly radio program “One Great Song” on the stations of WMNR. He currently lives in Hamden, CT with his wife Dawn, son Collin and daughter Kayli.
Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) is an independent membership organization of life insurance and financial service professionals.
