Robert A. Setzer, Jr.
As a valued member of the team, Robert Setzer joined Allied Wealth Partners in November of 2018 bringing with him over a decade of experience in the Financial Services industry.
Rob is a graduate of Rutgers University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Sports Studies and was a member of the Men’s Basketball team, earning a Varsity Letter in 2002.
During his career, Rob has held financial roles with TD Bank, ADP, and Merrill Lynch. As a Senior Financial Representative at TD Bank, he qualified for President’s Club, was a Quarterly WOW! Star, and was recognized with the Elite Team Sales Cup.
Rob utilizes a coaching-based financial services philosophy which begins with helping clients understand their objectives and define a purpose. Once the objectives and purpose have been established, he helps them to implement financial decisions as they navigate their personal road map. When clients encounter detours along their way, he works with them to restore financial order, clearing up the path to personal and financial happiness.
His practice centers on the following types of individuals, specializing in their unique needs:
1) Small Business Owners – 401(k) plans, employee benefits, business planning, keyperson strategies
2) Educators and Law Enforcement – Pension analysis and retirement strategies, education funding strategy
3) Executives – Employee stock options, tax-advantaged strategies, benefits analysis
Rob understands that small business owners, educators, law enforcement, and executives are busy with their career and families, as well as being heavily involved in their local communities. They often struggle to devote the time necessary to map out and execute a path to financial happiness both in the short-term and the long-term. They choose to work with Rob so they can continue to focus on their careers and families, while remaining engaged in their communities.
Rob currently resides in Flemington, NJ. He is still active with the Rutgers Varsity R Letterwinners Association and the Shannon Daley Memorial Fund. In his free time, Rob enjoys playing in the Readington Men’s Basketball League.
